Level 2 ยท Sponsored cohort for destination organisations

Make AI judgment an organisational capability, not a personal habit.

Six weeks for a destination organisation and its partners: ten modules, a weekly live call, four assessed assignments and a StepSim capstone. USD 12,000 per sponsored cohort of up to 25. Enrolment is an enquiry from the organisation, not a place bought online.

Fit

Who it is for, and who it is not for

For

A destination organisation and its partners

Tourism boards, destination companies and the partners who deliver with them. Managers who own a workstream, who answer for its result, and who will bring their own material to the assessed assignments rather than a textbook case.

Not for

Anyone shopping for an individual place, a tool, or a score for their staff

A cohort is commissioned by an organisation, sponsored, and run live. There is no self-service purchase, no tool licence and no ranking. The four assignments are marked to help the participant and the organisation, and nothing here produces a readiness score for a place.

The six weeks

What the design holds, and what it does not yet

The structure is fixed: six weeks, ten modules, a live call every week, four assessed assignments across the cohort, and a StepSim capstone. Week themes and module titles are not on file, so the table says so rather than guessing at them.

The six weeks of Level 2. Week themes, module titles and the weeks the four assessed assignments fall in are not on file, and are marked to be published.

Four assessed assignments run across the six weeks. Which weeks they fall in is part of the build that follows the founding Level 1 cohort.

How it runs

Live, sponsored, and marked

Live delivery

A weekly live call is the spine of the cohort

The modules are worked through together, on a fixed weekday, with the discussion and the judgment work reserved for the live time. That is the part a recorded course cannot replace.

Assessed work

Four assignments, marked, plus a StepSim capstone

The assignments are worked on the organisation's own material. The capstone runs on StepSim, the instrument named in the Standard, and it is assessed.

One sponsor

One sponsored cohort, one invoice

USD 12,000 for a cohort of up to 25 places. The sponsor is usually the organisation itself, a funder or a partner body. Places are held for named participants, not sold as seats.

Where it sits

The usual route to a sitting, and nothing more than that

Completing the cohort confers nothing toward AIRS-J/1 certification. It is the usual preparation, not a step in the assessment, and no assessed assignment here is seen by an assessor.

What participants receive

A Record of Completion, and marked work

On completion

A Record of Completion

It records that the participant completed the cohort and its assessed work. It is not a certificate, a credential or a qualification, and it is not a licence to practise anything.

What it does not do

It carries no score for a place, and no route into the Standard

Nothing in the cohort produces a readiness measure for a city or a destination organisation, and completing it confers nothing toward AIRS-J/1. Certification is a separate assessment, arranged separately, and no purchase changes its outcome.

Enrolment

An enquiry, not a cart

A cohort is commissioned. There is no checkout on this page and no seat held online.

  1. Write to AIR APAC about a cohort

One purpose, one message: the organisation, the number of participants you have in mind, and the period you would like the six weeks to run in.

  2. We answer with the design, the dates that are possible, and the sponsorship terms

If the design does not fit the organisation, we say so rather than reshape the course to fit a purchase order.

  3. The cohort is built after the Level 1 founding cohort runs

The evidence from that run is the input to this build. An enquiry now is registered and answered when the design is finished, and nothing is promised for a date the build cannot meet.

Questions

Plain answers

Why is there no date and no module list?

Because the build has not started. The structure is decided, the design exists, and the module titles and the week themes are written after the founding Level 1 cohort runs. This page will carry them when they are on file, and it says so until then.

Who pays?

The sponsor, as one invoice of USD 12,000 for a cohort of up to 25 places. Participants do not buy a place. The sponsor is usually the destination organisation itself, a funder, or a partner body acting for several organisations.

Is this the same material as the free Level 1 course?

No. It shares the spine and the vocabulary, and it goes much further: live judgment work, assessed assignments on the organisation's own material, and a capstone on StepSim. The free course stays free and stays asynchronous, and it is not a prerequisite.

Does completing it make anyone certified?

No. It returns a Record of Completion for the cohort, not a certificate, and it confers nothing toward AIRS-J/1. Certification under the Standard is a separate assessment on StepSim, arranged separately, under the Standard's own rules. Nothing from this cohort enters it, and no purchase changes its outcome.
