Fifteen programmes on judgment when AI is in the work.

Each programme applies the same method to one subject or one function: four questions a person asks before acting on an AI answer. Programmes are delivered for your group, through trainer partners. Dates, language and group size are confirmed in the enquiry, and no price is published on this page.

Descriptions, not a schedule

The programme formats page describes the half day, the one day, the two days and the certification edition. Each facilitated programme opens with a StepSim Practice mission played the participant’s usual way and closes with an unseen one of the same kind.

Programmes for

Managers and teams

For managers who make or approve decisions with AI, and for the teams they lead.

From Answers to Decisions: practical AI upskilling for managers

For: Managers who make or approve decisions using an AI assistant.

By the end, participants can

  • Make a business decision your usual way, then name what it missed and whether that changes the decision.
  • State the real decision behind a request, and what is fixed, before asking for an answer.
  • Test the claim an AI answer rests on before acting on it.
  • Bring in the people who must agree, and say when AI drafted the work.
  • Make a decision you can explain, say what would change it, and name one change to how you and your team check AI work.
Formats

Half day, one day or two days, and a certification edition of any of them.

What participants receive

Record of Completion for everyone who completes. The certification edition adds a separate assessment sitting, which can lead to AIRS-J/1 certification, Professional track, issued by AIR APAC.

Critical Thinking with AI: test the claim the decision rests on

For: Anyone who reviews, approves or forwards work that AI helped produce: managers, analysts, officers, and final-year students.

Also for: Government and destination organisations

By the end, participants can

  • Find the one claim a recommendation depends on.
  • Check that the source says what is claimed.
  • Tell evidence from confident language.
  • Spot what the data cannot see.
  • Ask the three questions that expose a weak answer.
Formats

Half day or one day, and a certification edition. A campus edition for final-year students is possible.

What participants receive

Record of Completion for everyone who completes. The certification edition adds a separate assessment sitting, which can lead to AIRS-J/1 certification, Professional track, issued by AIR APAC.

Making Team Decisions with AI: who decides, and on what evidence

For: Department heads and the teams that decide together: management teams, project boards and committees below board level. Run for a team that already works together.

By the end, participants can

  • Agree the real decision, and what is fixed, before anyone brings an AI answer.
  • Compare options from different people and different AI tools on the same evidence, not on how convincing they sound.
  • Bring disagreement into the open and test it, instead of following the most senior or the most confident view.
  • State who owns the decision, who must be consulted, and when a decision must go higher.
  • Record the decision, the reasons, the disagreement and what would make the team change course, and say where AI drafted the work.
Formats

Half day or one day for one team, and a certification edition.

What participants receive

Record of Completion for everyone who completes. The certification edition adds a separate assessment sitting, which can lead to AIRS-J/1 certification, Professional track, issued by AIR APAC.

Leading Teams Through AI Change: test the change, then correct it

For: Line managers, heads of department, transformation leads and L&D partners who are changing how a team works because of AI.

Not covered: This programme does not advise on job design, staffing levels or employment law, and it is not training on any AI tool.

By the end, participants can

  • Sort the team's work into what AI may draft, what it may help with, and what a person must own.
  • Choose one change to test first, with a clear measure and a date to review it.
  • Bring in the staff whose work changes before the decision, and tell them what is decided and why.
  • Notice when a change creates new errors, hidden work or a loss of skill, and correct it.
  • Report to senior management what changed, what it cost and what was learned, including what did not work.
Formats

One day or two days, and a certification edition.

What participants receive

Record of Completion for everyone who completes. The certification edition adds a separate assessment sitting, which can lead to AIRS-J/1 certification, Professional track, issued by AIR APAC.

Programmes for

Boards and senior leaders

For boards, executive committees and leaders who decide while conditions keep changing.

Deciding Under Uncertainty with AI: what to decide now, what to postpone, and when to change course (VUCA)

For: Managers and senior leaders who must decide while conditions inside and outside the organisation keep changing, much of it driven by AI, including heads of government departments and owners and successors in family businesses.

Also for: Managers and teams

What the programme does, and does not do: It does not solve the participants' problems for them, and it is not training on any AI tool. It teaches managers how to use the AI assistants they already turn to when they work on these problems: what to ask, when to push back, and how to take the conversation further until they can shape an option of their own.

What VUCA means: VUCA stands for volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity. The term comes from the US Army War College in the late 1980s and 1990s, where it described the world after the Cold War. The cases use conditions the region knows: the pandemic, sharp swings in oil and commodity prices, supply chain disruption and fast regulatory change.

By the end, participants can

  • Separate what is known from what is uncertain, and find the few unknowns that would actually change the decision.
  • Frame the real decision, then find the few issues (often about 20%) that drive most of the impact (often about 80%), and work on those first.
  • Assess the risk: what could fail, how, who would bear the cost, and which harm you are choosing to accept.
  • Decide what to commit to now, what to postpone, and what to keep open; take the step that can be reversed if you are wrong, and name in advance what would make you change course.
  • Work with an AI assistant as a thinking partner: brief it on the real decision, question its answer, push back when the reasoning or the evidence is weak, ask for the alternatives it left out, and build the final option yourself.
Formats

One day or two days, or a four-week cohort for a leadership group, and a certification edition.

What participants receive

Record of Completion for everyone who completes. The certification edition adds a separate assessment sitting, which can lead to AIRS-J/1 certification, Professional track, issued by AIR APAC.

Programme description. Delivered for your group on request. Dates, language and group size are confirmed in the enquiry.

AI Governance for Boards and Senior Leaders

For: Board members, directors and executive committees.

By the end, participants can

  • Ask the five questions every AI proposal must answer.
  • Read an AI policy for who decides, who checks and who is told.
  • Set what the board must see, and how often.
  • Recognise when management is following a recommendation instead of making a decision.
  • Record the board's own reasoning.
Formats

Half day for a board, or one day for an executive committee. A certification edition on request.

What participants receive

Record of Completion for everyone who completes. A certification edition, with a separate assessment sitting that can lead to AIRS-J/1 certification, Professional track, is available on request.

Programmes for

Business functions

What AI means for one function, with the same four questions applied to its decisions.

AI in Procurement and Governance: better buying decisions and stronger controls

For: Procurement, category and contract managers, tender committee members, and the governance, audit and compliance staff who oversee procurement. Public and private sector.

Also for: Government and destination organisations

Delivery: Delivered with a procurement practitioner as co-facilitator. AIRS-J/1 certification assesses judgment in AI-enabled work; it is not a procurement qualification.

By the end, participants can

  • Find where AI can safely speed up each stage of the procurement cycle, and where a person must decide.
  • Test an AI bid comparison or supplier screen for the claim it rests on, and for what it cannot see.
  • Write an AI-assisted specification that is fair to all bidders, with the reasons recorded.
  • Set the controls, approvals, disclosure and records that make AI-assisted procurement auditable.
  • Present and own a procurement recommendation to a tender committee, with the reasoning stated.
Formats

Two days (the main edition), one day, or a half-day overview for tender committees and senior management, and a certification edition.

AI in Risk, Audit and Compliance: assurance over AI-assisted work

For: Internal auditors, risk managers and compliance officers.

Also for: Boards and senior leaders

Two editions: The assurance edition is for internal audit, risk and compliance staff who review AI-assisted work independently. The governance edition is for AI governance officers and risk owners who set and run the controls, the escalation routes and the corrective action. Running a control and reviewing it independently are different jobs, so a group takes one edition, not both at once.

By the end, participants can

  • Find where in a process AI influences a decision.
  • Test the evidence behind an AI-assisted conclusion.
  • Design a control that a person actually performs.
  • Audit disclosure and escalation, not only outputs.
  • Write a finding about judgment, not about the tool.
Formats

One day or two days, as the assurance edition or the governance edition, and a certification edition.

AI in People Decisions: hiring, performance and promotion with AI in the process

For: HR leaders, hiring managers and talent teams.

Not covered: This programme does not cover the use of AIRS-J/1 results in hiring.

By the end, participants can

  • State which part of a people decision a person must make.
  • Test a ranking or summary for what it leaves out.
  • Check a process for unfair effects on groups.
  • Tell candidates and staff what they are entitled to know under the rules that apply.
  • Own and explain a people decision.
Formats

One day, and a certification edition.

What participants receive

Record of Completion for everyone who completes. The certification edition adds a separate assessment sitting, which can lead to AIRS-J/1 certification, Professional track, issued by AIR APAC.

AI in Operations and Supply Chain Decisions

For: Operations, supply chain, logistics and planning managers in manufacturing, distribution, retail, healthcare and public services.

Delivery: Delivered with an operations or supply chain practitioner as co-facilitator. AIR APAC teaches judgment when AI is in the work; the operations expertise comes from that practitioner.

By the end, participants can

  • Find the assumption a demand forecast or a stock recommendation depends on, and check it.
  • Test an AI plan for a disruption for what it cannot see: a supplier's real position, a local holiday, a contract term.
  • Decide which operational decisions AI may make on its own, which need a person, and when to stop the automatic ones.
  • Agree a change with sales, finance and suppliers before it reaches them.
  • Commit to a plan with a named condition for review, and correct it quickly when that condition is met.
Formats

One day or two days, and a certification edition.

What participants receive

Record of Completion for everyone who completes. The certification edition adds a separate assessment sitting, which can lead to AIRS-J/1 certification, Professional track, issued by AIR APAC.

Programme description. Delivered for your group on request. Dates, language and group size are confirmed in the enquiry.

AI in Government Services: accountable decisions for public officers

For: Civil servants and officers in ministries, agencies and city governments, and civil service colleges.

By the end, participants can

  • State what a public decision must be able to show.

  • Decide when a case needs a person, not a template.
  • Tell the citizen what they are entitled to know under the rules that apply.
  • Keep a record of the evidence, the reasons and the approvals.
Formats

One day or two days, or a six-week cohort for a ministry group, and a certification edition.

What participants receive

Record of Completion for everyone who completes. The certification edition adds a separate assessment sitting, which can lead to AIRS-J/1 certification, Professional track, issued by AIR APAC.

AI Fluency for City Tourism Promotion, Level 1

For: City tourism officers who are expert in their own work and new to AI.

By the end, participants can

  • Sort any desk task into what an AI engine may draft, what it may help with, and what it must not own.
  • Write a brief the engine can follow: the ground rules first, then Persona, Action, Context and Examples.
  • Catch plausible errors in polished output, and verify every claim against a named record.
  • Trace where an AI answer about your city comes from, and put a missing event back into it.
  • Bring one clear AI decision to your director on one page, with an owner, a task, a check and a date.
Formats

Twelve short videos over four weeks, with weekly homework and an optional clinic.

What participants receive

None. This programme teaches practical AI skills and does not include an assessment.

No video has been recorded yet. Enrolment is through the TPO Secretariat.

AI Fluency for Destination Organisations, Level 2

For: Destination organisations and their partners: managers who own a workstream and answer for its result.

By the end, participants can

  • Set what AI may draft, help with, and must not own across a team's work.
  • Write shared briefs and checks for a team's AI-assisted work.
  • Check the claims in AI-assisted work against reliable sources, and record what is still unresolved.
  • Agree who owns each AI-assisted decision, and who must be told.
  • Apply the methods in four assessed assignments on the organisation's own material, under its own rules for handling information.
Formats

A six-week live cohort: ten modules, a weekly live call, four assessed assignments and a StepSim capstone.

What participants receive

Record of Completion for everyone who completes. Completing the cohort confers nothing toward AIRS-J/1 certification, which is a separate assessment.

The design exists. No cohort has run yet.
