1. Who we are
AIR APAC is the Center for AI Readiness in Asia Pacific. The company is AIR APAC Pte. Ltd., UEN 202600913G. We publish research on organisations' AI work, assess people's judgment in AI-enabled work and train teams.

2. What we collect
AIR APAC collects only what is necessary to provide its services and conduct its research.
Information you give us directly
- Contact-form submissions (name, email, organisation, message)
- Newsletter sign-ups (email and optional preference fields)
- Engagement enquiries (name, role, organisation, contact details)
- Assessment registrations (name, email, organisation, country or market, message). What is held about an assessment itself is described under Assessment data below
Information collected automatically
- IP address and approximate location (country or region)
- Browser type, device, operating system
- Referring URL, pages visited, session duration
- Cookies and similar technologies, as described under Cookies and analytics below
What is not collected
- Sensitive personal data (race, religion, political views, health) unless you volunteer it in a message
- Credit card or payment information through this website
- Children's data: this site is not directed at children under 16

4. Assessment data
This section is about people who register for or sit an assessment under the Standard for Judgment in AI-Enabled Work (AIRS-J/1). It adds to the rest of this policy.
What is held
- Your name, email address, organisation and country or market, from your registration
- The method used to check your identity at the start of the sitting, recorded in the assessment log
- Your transcript, which is the record of the decisions you made in the sitting
- Your scoring record and result: your scores, your band, the confidence level and the evidence cited
- A record of any access support you were given
- If you are certified, your credential and its register entry: the credential code, track, band, confidence, Standard version, issue and expiry dates and status. The register does not record your employer, your dimension scores or any transcript content. Your name appears in the searchable register only if you give separate consent, and you can withdraw it
Who is responsible. AIR APAC Pte. Ltd. decides why and how assessment data is used. The data is held by AIR APAC and by Exeter Labs, which builds and operates StepSim, AIR APAC's official assessment instrument. Exeter Labs and the trainer who arranges your sitting process the data on AIR APAC's instructions and for no other purpose.
What the data is used for
- To run the sitting, score it and give you your report
- To issue, record and check a credential
- To decide an appeal or a complaint
- To operate, check and improve the Standard and StepSim. For this, data may be used without your name
Who receives your result. Before you start, you are told who will receive your result and what it may be used for. Where an employer commissions an assessment of people applying for a role, it receives each applicant's employment-grade result by name, for that hiring decision. You receive your own report no later than the employer receives its copy.
Where the data is held and for how long. Transcripts and results are kept for as long as AIR APAC and its instrument provider need them for certification, recertification, appeals, the evidence programme and the commissioning organisation's licence. Where a transcript or result is kept only for the evidence programme and improvement, it is kept without your name and contact details, unless you have agreed to a named record. The country where assessment data is hosted, and the retention period for each purpose, will be published here before the first sitting. As at 18 October 2026, no sitting has run.
Outside your country. Assessment data may be processed outside your country. See International transfers below.
Never sold. Assessment data is not sold.
Your access. You may obtain your own transcript and result, and ask for correction of factual errors in them. Write to hello@airapac.org. To appeal a result, see the appeals page.
5. Sharing
AIR APAC does not sell personal data. Assessment data is processed by Exeter Labs, which builds and operates StepSim, and by the trainer who arranges a sitting, on AIR APAC's instructions.
Data is shared only with:
- Service providers (email delivery, web hosting, analytics) under contract, only as needed to operate the site
- Council members and peer reviewers when they participate in confidential review of research outputs, only with de-identified or pre-agreed data
- Legal authorities where required by law or to protect rights, property, and safety
6. International transfers
AIR APAC operates across Asia Pacific and may transfer personal data between Singapore, the EU and UK, and other countries. Where data leaves a jurisdiction with different protection standards, the Center uses Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent legal mechanisms.
7. Cookies and analytics
- Strictly necessary cookies (no consent required): session, security, accessibility
- Analytics cookies (with consent where applicable): anonymised page-view counts, sessionised timing
- No advertising cookies, no third-party retargeting, no fingerprinting
You can decline analytics cookies via the consent banner or your browser settings.
8. Retention

9. Your rights
Subject to the law of your jurisdiction (Singapore PDPA, EU and UK GDPR, and others), you may:
- Access the personal data held about you
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
- Delete your data (right to be forgotten) subject to legal exceptions
- Withdraw consent for newsletters or analytics at any time
- Port your data to another service in a structured, machine-readable format
- Object to certain processing based on legitimate interest
- Lodge a complaint with your data protection authority (Singapore: PDPC; EU: your national DPA; UK: ICO)
To exercise any right, write to hello@airapac.org. The Center responds within 30 calendar days (extendable by 60 in complex cases, with notice).
10. Security
AIR APAC uses commercially reasonable safeguards including TLS encryption in transit, access controls, and contractual obligations on service providers. No system is perfectly secure. The Center will notify affected individuals and regulators of material breaches as required by applicable law.
11. Updates to this policy
When material changes are made, the revised policy will be posted here with an updated effective date. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
